The Barkhamsted Historical Society, in partnership with the Town of Barkhamsted, is thrilled to announce a year-long celebration for the Semiquincentennial—the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.  

We have a vibrant lineup of programs and events planned throughout 2026 to honor our country's journey, from the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War to the unique early history of our own town.
